Meet Our Staff

Kristen earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Caldwell College in New Jersey after earning an Associates in Education. 

Kristen has experience in private education working with infants, children and young adults with disabilities. She has first hand experience working with students and families to ensure that educational needs are met at home and in school.  

Kristen is also a teacher for Solid Rock Children’s Church where she has served over six (6) years.

Julie Mahoney volunteers as Head Secretary and Bookkeper.   She provides exceptional organization and secretarial and bookkeeping skills to our school.

I am originally from Harrisburg, PA. I lead hospitality, co-lead the shower team, womens breakfast and decorating team as well as help with communion for our church. I have 3 children and 2 dogs. My husband and I have been married for 15 years. I enjoy reading, crafting, and spending time with my family. I had an in home daycare for over 8 years with children from 6 weeks through elementary school years. I home schooled my own children through a virtual program for 2 years before they transferred to Faith First Academy. I am so excited to watch all of the kids personally grow closer in their walk with Jesus while receiving a quality education in a healthy and positive environment.

I earned all my degrees at Liberty University a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction- Leadership, a Bachelor of Science, and an Associate in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am blessed and thankful to the Lord for allowing me to work towards my Doctorate and currently writing my dissertation. 

I also graduated in 2010 from Theological Seminary in Brownsville, Texas where I graduated second highest GPA of my class. Twelve years ago, God called my family and I to begin our journey in Myrtle Beach, since then I have been working alongside with the Baptist church in different Ministries. I have experienced in teaching Sunday school from k-12- and also serve in other areas Awana, adult Bible study, missions, Nations Cafe, Greeter, Spanish translator, and Spanish tutor. 

I began my journey in my local church in South Texas at a very young age where I had the opportunity to serve for twelve years alongside my Pastor in different leadership roles. Children's director, Vacation Bible School director, Children's Ministry, Sunday School teacher, drama, Missions to Mexico, discipleship groups and other roles. I am amazed on God's mercies and grace.

Victoria Francis holds a Bachelors degree in Biology from Coastal Carolina University, where she was on the Dean’s List for her achievements. She is originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, and helps lead others in worship at her church in Market Common. She enjoys watching movies with her husband, crafting, and reading. She is super excited for the privilege to help her students grow into the people God always designed them to be.

I am so excited to be a part of Faith First Academy, I will be the teacher for both fifth grade and sixth grade.  I have a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Francis Marion University and am currently enrolled in the Master of Science program at Clemson University.  I will devote my teaching career to educating, inspiring, and supporting our students at Faith First Academy.  I believe in providing a joyful, safe, and encouraging environment for our students and will continue to strive to make it a rewarding experience for them.  I look forward to a wonderful and successful school year.

William Kemp has a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, and graduated from the University on Wyoming with a B.A. in History (minor in Science). He is a passionate student, teacher, and preacher, and loves to share Christ with people hoping that they too will discover the joy of experiencing the forgiveness of sin found only in the shed blood of Christ Jesus the Lord, and the peace that passes understanding that comes only with presence the abiding Holy Spirit.  He has been a minister of a small New England Church for over 20 years. He has traveled as a missionary to the Dominican Republic, toured Israel, and traveled to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and been all over North America. He loves to study the Bible, and listen to preaching. He’s a gifted singer, and enjoys playing the piano, and listening to music. He is a passionate prayer warrior.

Mary Heflin holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education grades K-8 with a minor in Social Studies from Slippery Rock University, and a Masters degree in Educational Technology from Lesley University. She retired after 5 years of teaching in an elementary school in West Virginia and 32 years of teaching in middle schools in Horry County, South Carolina.

Pam has been a believer in Jesus Christ for several decades.She graduated from college with a BA in French.

She served in the US Army for 7 years, to include a tour in Desert Storm. While in the US Army, she obtained her Masters degree in Management.

She worked for the US Government for almost 30 years in San Diego and various desert bases in southern CA.

She attended Bible college when she retired. She is a licensed Reverend and a licensed Chaplain.

Pam and her husband Fred moved here from AZ and really enjoy Myrtle Beach.

DJ has lived in Myrtle Beach for most of his life and has had a relationship with the Lord from a very young age. He has had many instrumental mentors who have built him up in his faith, which is his inspiration to bring up others in their faith. He attended Charleston Southern University for 2 years and is currently working on a Bachelors in Ministry through All Nations Bible College. 

DJ also works with the NOWKids after school care and summer camp which has grown his love for guiding children to Christ.

Tricia has been an active member of Solid Rock Ministries since 2007. Her husband, John was an active member of Solid Rock until he gained his Heavenly wings on July 7, 2016.  Tricia enjoys serving God and Faith First Academy. Tricia has compassion for people and loves serving enthusiastically.  She has a passion for encouraging people, and leading members to areas in both Solid Rock and Faith First Academy, where they can best use their gifting and serve God.  Tricia serves on our FFA school board. She is the Administrative Pastor for Solid Rock at Market Common.

She possesses an Associates and Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration.
